Switch from an existing cable contract to a DSL contract?
Hello,
A year ago I moved into my new apartment and wanted to sign a DSL contract with Vodafone .
After about two weeks, I was informed that a contract couldn't be signed because all the lines in the building were in use. So I was forced to opt for a cable contract with Vodafone . However, this meant signing another TV contract with a subsidiary of my housing association, even though I haven't watched TV in years. That meant another €18 every month that I had to pay for nothing.
Since I received an email a few months ago informing me that the line was available again, and I no longer see the point in paying €18 a month for the TV contract (yes, I know that cable TV is now a tenant's responsibility), I would like to ask if it's possible to switch to an equivalent DSL contract with the same provider. The cable contract still has a remaining term of one year. The TV contract can be canceled monthly from now on.
Maybe you can help me
Hello,
to meet someone who can look at your contract documents is very unlikely to do so.
You should ask Vodafone:
You should negotiate your TV contract with your housing company.
Best regards from Leipzig
If you change into a higher-grade contract, this often happens before the minimum term expires. You’ll stay the minimum time.
Ultimately, however, only Vodafone can give you exactly information about whether they are willing to do so.
However, if you have to wait one year, you should be aware that the connection might have already been awarded otherwise.
But you’ve got a bear. There is no need for a TV contract for the use of cable internet, this must not be coupled for a long time.
Your Vodafone contract has a minimum duration of 2 years, if you want to change earlier, you can only hope for success on the part of Vodafone. As far as I know, the various Vodafone companies are, so could be difficult.
When I wanted to close the cable agreement with Vodafone, Vodafone told me that the connection can only be unlocked when a TV contract was concluded with the subsidiary. It is a prerequisite to use the infrastructure at all.
Just kiss the TV contract you’ve made.
Even on the Vodafone page, it is up to the cable internet agreements that you can optionally book TV to where there is a discount for the overall package. You don’t do that.
Did you just do yourself:
Artificial TV immediately and the cable contract in a year.
This tangs the DSL port you don’t want.
Without TV, no cable contract. I was also told as this is the conditions to use cable internet
O.K. – Then you can both quit one year. 🤷
At the end of the previous contract, yes, it has to end.
Call Vodafone and ask.
They can best help you.
