Vom Autohaus betrogen?

Hallo,

I’m a KFZ master, and I honestly wouldn’t have advised you to exchange the particle filter.

Probably the vehicle has displayed the message “exhaust gas differential pressure unplausible” or something.

Evtl have also exchanged the differential pressure sensor, measured the cables and started the regeneration with the workshop tester, which is a normal procedure.

If the error has now reappeared, the 3 causes can have.

  1. The particle filter is so strongly saturated or already partially blocked so that it is really to be said of a defect which requires the exchange.
  2. Your driving profile is wrong (very many shortcuts, hardly or no longer trips.
  3. It is a defect, which is why the vehicle forms too much soot and therefore leaves the DPF clogging.

In the optimal case the workshop has already 2nd and 3rd can exclude and therefore recommend the exchange.

In the worst case they say “just a new DPF and then look” then it is possible that the error has not been fixed for a long time.

Can I ask questions about what kind of car it is with?

See, we’ve got the problem. The short distance is for the diesel poison, you have the worst of all drives for your requirements. On the highway you don’t want to ball like a crazy one. Regeneration only occurs in a certain speed range.

Let me guess you’re driving a lot of short distance and the diesel never gets really warm?

If you can answer one of the questions with yes, the diesel is for you the completely wrong vehicle and your frightened DPF a logical consequence.

Regeneration of the DPF can, but does not necessarily mean

The car worked perfectly on delivery. If you break it through your way of driving, you’re clear.

I would turn to consumer protection and let myself be advised.

You can certainly claim damages or price reductions.

They should go down at least 400€ with the price.

What’s that? The mistake was gone and the car worked without any interference during delivery. Say, the repair was done according to the order. The DPF is now stretched and, depending on the use of the vehicle, is even defective due to incorrect use

No but they know the legal situation and can say if there is any guarantee etc on the part of the workshop

Please see my comment above. Since the vehicle has worked without interference during delivery, the repair was carried out according to the order.
