Full screen & sound on Blu-Ray on PS3 – How to set it?

I've been trying to play a Blu-ray on my TV all morning, but for some reason, there's a constant black border around the video image. It's like seeing more black than picture. Can this be changed?

The sound isn't working either. I tried setting it to both Bitstream and Linear PCM, but the sound was completely lost in both cases. If anyone could help me, I'd be really grateful.
