Cancel Volksbank savings account?
Hello,
At that time, I changed banks and closed my current account at Volksbank. However, I didn't know that I had to close/cancel my old savings account separately.
I no longer have any documents, cards, etc. for this account because it has been six years now.
How can I cancel it? Do I have to cancel it? Can I go to the branch? How long is the notice period if I cancel it in writing?
Thanks
This depends on the savings account model. If it is a savings book with legal notice, you can cancel it if the subject is not in the room.
But you won’t find out that concretely without going there.
Gruss
if it is a SB-saving account (i.e. with savings account extracts without savings book) you can redeem it at any time – in the branch – or by moving in from your current bank – or by letter order (don’t forget your legitimation)
if a savings account has been issued and there is no longer available, the resolution only goes with a loss message – usually associated with a fee
if the Volksbank does not have any further accounts after dissolution, ask and delete or leave them in due time for the release order
FALLS there is a savings account, the Volksbank can of course determine if you can prove yourself.
