I bought the iPhone last year and it still doesn't work. My mother has the same iPhone and it works for her. I've already tried leaving myself a voicemail from a different phone, but I always had to call the voicemail to hear it. Does anyone know why that is? Since the voicemail comes from your mobile provider, you can only call the voicemail if you have no active WLAN connection.
You have to turn off Wi-Fi in the control center and then call the voicemail again.
If it should not work, contact AppleCare (0800/6645451).
It sounds like the problem could be related to the Voicemail settings or the network configuration.
Sometimes it helps to reset the network settings. General > Reset > Network settings Reset.
