Bird droppings with maggots?
There's a thick beam under our wooden roof gable where birds occasionally sleep at night—so, in the morning, there's perfectly normal white bird droppings on the balcony. So far, okay.
But during the day there are no birds sitting there and yet something keeps splashing onto the balcony in the same spot without me seeing a bird fly away, recently right next to me.
The "structure" – see pictures – consists of something brown and a, let's say, naked, whitish maggot (but apparently dead).
If that wasn't a bird, where else on the wooden roof or the wooden beam on the gable could it have come from? From below, all you can see is bird droppings stuck to the side of the wooden beam. And most importantly: what is that???
Now there’s something down again, without the brown stuff, about 1 cm long, but in the roof gable there’s neither a nest to see nor fly except for 1 or 2 puppies what’s going on:-(
If you let them lie, they’ll have a brewing stick. And there’s a nest. Even if you haven’t discovered it yet.
I guess you have a hornet nest.
They sometimes throw their boys out when there’s a disease on the floor or just overproduction to offspring.
Okay, and then what are these white viechers?
I don’t see anything but one, two wasps up around the roof.
They’re the hornet baby or puppies. Can’t see how big things are on your photo.
Yes, they’re the same things as you do. Yours have been dead for a long time. they become soft and then the shape is slightly changed.
they are approx. 1 cm long, but rather round than lengthy, so not as here: http://www.action-wespenschutz.de/Interactive%20Hilfe/FAQ/19-Larvenrausschmiss/Bilder/IMG_8209.jpg
