Bird in cage, fish in aquarium – animal cruelty?
I find it cruel to keep birds in cages or fish in aquariums. They deserve the entire sky or the entire ocean (river), and we lock them in one-square-meter cages. What's your opinion on this?
I see a bird in a cage like a person in chains. It can live, but it is not free.
I think it depends on the size of the aquarium/ cage.
If a bird volunteer is at least as large as a whole room, rather more, then I still find it OK. All of this is animal torture for me.
I don’t know that well with aquariums, but I might just say at least 500 l. Although this is naturally more difficult with the implementation.
A room is better then flying is possible
Yes, I think that should be possible in any case in order to meet the animal.
I’m not for keeping animals in cages or something. Generally not.
I do not hold hamsters, but all from hamster aids. They’re hamsters from bad attitudes that need a new home. Because I do not want to be responsible for the fact that these animals are “produced” for our luxury. So I find it morally reasonable.
Just like I wouldn’t take a dog from a breeding. He eats meat and that would have to die for my luxury (dog). There is already a dog from the animal shelter, so I would only offer a home, no new animals “produce”. That’s how it’s morally acceptable to me.
Therefore, I am opposed to blocking animals in cages, even because this attitude is absolute animal cruelty. I am in favour of offering animals from the shelter or such a beautiful, new home. No small cages.
Yes that icc is a good and reasonable view
I find if, for example, a bird is in cage at night and can fly freely in the apartment the day is okay. And to the vegans: a bunch of the substitutes what you eat is of soy. And for soybean cultivation a lot of rainforest is still wooded. It’s best to think about it, instead of blaming animal owners with a lot of experience they’re animal torturers. We also have fish in a pond, what is the problem? And many aquarium fish don’t even need so much movement, or they often have the place.
I haven’t eaten meat for 11 years, I’ve never touched fish. I don’t get eggs. I still eat cheese, this is the only milk product that I still consume, I can’t get away from it.
Yeah, it’s cruel. But even more cruel I find how animals must be kept and live which are intended for consumption. And no, I didn’t stop eating meat for that reason.
great respect 11 years
Never missed.
Birds have wings to fly and fish have fins to leave hundreds of kilometers back.
There is no reason to block animals, it is a court of grace.
On the subject of fish, I can recommend the marine biologist, Robert Marc Lehman. He captured and locked up fish himself in the past, and now declares what speaks against it.
And still completely useless.
They’re not even eaten.
Farm animals are slaughtered sometime. Then her suffering ends. (Doesn’t it, vegan?)
Animals in cages, without training of the caregivers, without animal welfare regulations, only for the joy of the cage animals?
Yes, if you don’t mind, it’ll stay so that an old grandma has canary birds that make her a little company in her loneliness.
Not everyone can afford a dog, or put him animal welfare right.
Animals provide psychological assistance in certain situations of life and reduce your health insurance contributions in the long term. That means you also benefit from the fact that other people, for whatever reason, keep animals.
There is no law against it. So it’s legal.
You could dance the school on Thursdays and demonstrate that an old Omi takes care of a Welli or Kanari against her loneliness.
“Stimms vegan” hahaha. But interesting evidence with the health insurance companies.
By the way, I don’t think it’s abhorrent to keep animals and consume their products such as milk and eggs or at some point meat. Unfortunately, this has somehow vanished with mass livestock and associated pollution.
When people used to have 5-6 chickens in the garden and some cows on the meadow, this was a perfect symbiosis.
Chickens get food from us and give us eggs. If we could go back there, much better.
There are projects where once a week the elderly are visited by a dog.
On this day there are many more visitors, even those who prefer to stay in their room. There are more social contacts with dog.
With the farm animals, that’s one thing. As a non-mass animal holder, you will always be thrown into a pot with the 10%? of the commercial/(mass) animal holder.
In the environmental effects of individual examples, the entire industry is also closed.
Recent studies have found a change in the wildlife due to NEARSTOFFMANGEL in the Wadden Sea. Well, I guess the mass-dealer will be guilty.

Farm keeping contaminated with fertilizer allegedly the streams and rivers. They flow into the sea. There are no nutrients. Where so many are supposed to “poor” the water.
The one with the mass animal husbandry: There are no published figures on this, although the Ministry of Agriculture has all the figures on stock sizes. If these were published, it would be possible to find out that the NGO’s have no idea, or to equip the population for fun.
These claim that 3% of meat comes from organic farming. Maybe right. And they conclude, and they also claim that 97% originate from mass animal husbandry. Just because I’m not biocertified, I’m supposed to count with my 3 cows for mass livestock. And my neighbor with his 20 chickens too. The 97% from mass animal husbandry are a lie. The UN defines mass animal husbandry as a way of keeping where less than 10% of the feed is cultivated in its own holding.
I know many farmers, small and large, and even legal persons with 500 cows have 1000 hectares for this. These are 0.5 cows per ha. Each organic association allows up to 2 cows on the hectare. So four times. I don’t know a mass animal holder/commercial animal husbandry.
Hello, thanks for the feedback. Where the 10% come I don’t know, however, this number should be voting this 10% 98% of the meat produced in Germany.
At 98%, in my opinion, it is no longer possible to raise any objections and black ones.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to understand this with the Wadden Seas, so I have the connection to livestock farming. I’d be happy to have an answer.

Have you ever considered in which cage (apartment) you are dominating yourself?
Look for the body size…..
…. is this the result of human torture?
I go out several times a day and put more kilomeTer back
Individual
A person can go out, he can go where he wants and is not locked in his apartment. It’s a small cage.
Except for the prisoners…
A wave-shake did not break anything
Yeah, thanks for the info, even if it’s not a question. Doesn’t interest anyone.
A question was asked.
I am interested in learning other views/perspectives
