Cancel Vodafone contract; when is a new contract due?
Hello.
Let's assume my internet contract (500Mbit/s) has a minimum term until January 31, 2026.
I would like to cancel the contract because I don't need 500Mbit/s and 250Mbit/s is sufficient.
Let's say I terminate the contract in November 2025.
Do I have to sign a new contract with Vodafone by the end of January at the latest, effective February 1, 2026, if I want to continue having internet access?
Is something like this possible online?
Yes, possibly also with some lead time; for if you terminate your contract to become effective the termination and Vodafone will then cease the supply.

In your case, however, Vodafone is more likely to change (without quitting) to the cheaper rate the At the end of the MVLZ (i.e. also with sufficient lead time, if necessary this is already possible now), this should be possible here and should be equally expensive.
This should be possible via support; I don’t know if this goes online.
I’ve been told that if you want to get into a cheaper rate, you have to quit before. If it’s a more expensive fare, it’s also without
What was that about?
At Vodafone, such a change to the end of the MVLZ was possible after my memory but without notice.
You can do it in time, so you can also cancel it if necessary.
Was in the case mobile. I actually wanted to quit because I wanted to have a smaller tariff with less data volume.
But then I somehow got 600 GB for 26,99€🤭
But I don’t have to quit the internet contract? Simply if it’s ready to call and say I want the smaller fare?
Evtl is a difference in mobile and internet contracts.
You can best find out when you call the support. When you say “new tariff” or “contract” at the beginning, you won’t wait too long. This is better for Vodafone than online.
