What would be so bad about letting the vitamin D level be determined by your family doctor? You have to buy the capsules yourself. but then you know if there’s a deficiency.

A single blood collection, or laboratory determination, is not expensive, because it does not pay the health insurance. I think I paid about 5 euros for it.
