My urologist told me to take Ibuprofen 400 to *reduce the inflammation*. She didn't say anything about the dosage. The maximum (permitted) dose would be 3 x 2 tablets of 2400 mg. That would be the absolute maximum.

What would be so bad about letting the vitamin D level be determined by your family doctor? You have to buy the capsules yourself. but then you know if there’s a deficiency.
A single blood collection, or laboratory determination, is not expensive, because it does not pay the health insurance. I think I paid about 5 euros for it.
