Virus on iPhone due to phishing link?
I'm very sorry for the long question.
So a while ago I fell for a phishing link. At the time I was a bit younger and less experienced with such links and received a phishing link via Discord that imitated the game Roblox. On this site, my younger self entered the login information for my Roblox gaming account and then lost it too. I got the account back a few months later and only suffered minimal losses of in-game items. I also changed all similar passwords at that point (after the hack). Since the first hack, there have been no further account takeover attempts on my other accounts (as far as I know).
Now I would like to know if there is possibly a virus on my old device and if it is getting onto my new device via iCloud.
ps I only gave my data to my old device via this phishing link and set up my new device without a backup.
The device I opened the link on was an iPhone 7+ and my new one is an iPhone 14
No, it’s impossible for you to have a virus on your iPhone. The closed iOS system is absolutely idiot-proof, because you can click on where you want to never get a virus. Vulnerabilities have become so valuable that you would never let them go to normal users.
You have neither a virus on the old device nor could it be transmitted via iCloud.
The account recording was not hacking by the way! You have given your data yourself on our website. That’s where the guy was very excited about it, and it just took advantage of it.
