Vignette?

I understandably forgot my wallet and took the motorway from Piding (Germany) to Salzburg South via the motorway 🛣️😭

I couldn't get off the train anymore, so I got back on the motorway in Salzburg where I had the opportunity to go back to Piding (the journey there and back took 10 minutes if that). On the way back there was also a border check, but the police didn't stop me and let me go on.

I'm still a novice driver and wanted to ask if my driving license can be taken away because of this or if I'll just get a fine 😞

I looked on the internet and it said that you don't need one from Piding to Salzburg and that has been the case since 2019

Can anyone help me with this?

The following routes are exempted from toll:

Read for yourself: https://www.asfinag.at/maut-vignette/vignette/

If you drive a Vignett-Property route and get a toll check (SKD) or automatic vignette control (AVK), you will receive a replacement toll of €120. If this is not paid, or if it is not possible to issue a replacement toll to your address, you will receive an administrative penalty of €300-3000

If, then you get only one penalty, you can keep the driving license 😊

The police doesn’t care that only interests the road operatorðŸTM‚

and there you need no from Piding to Salzburg and this is already 2019

And what did you not understand?

The border control has nothing to do with the vignette.
