Versteht man als Physiker die Technik?

Kann man nach einem Physikstudium in Bachelor oder Master

▪allgemein technisches wie theoretische Pläne,

▪oder die technischen Funktionsweise der Geräte,

▪oder alles an technisches verstehen?

“or understand everything about technical?”

Some things will understand quickly and some will have to deal with it in more detail.

This applies not only to graduates of a physics degree but also to graduates of a technical study.

During your studies in physics (as with all other studies) you will learn all the equipment you need to use. And you preferably use it as it is in the respective user manual.

Whether you acquire this knowledge or forget it again – you have to get it on the chain yourself…

Bin Physiker und Maschinenbauer…. As a physicist, we describe and investigate the behavior of the matter—whether in astrophysics or experimental physics. De Maschinenbauer constructs or develops technical devices in accordance with its field, e.g. aircraft, cars, medical devices, etc.

Depending on the subject, the machine manufacturer must be familiar with the essential laws of physics such as heat transfer, the world of Newton, E-technology. The physicist’s world of technology is rather secondary…. For example, it examines the behavior of a lubricating film of a gear pairing, but the gear only interests it at the edge.

It is of course useful if you are at home in both disciplines, because that promotes the overall understanding. Comparable also applies to mating maths and physics or maths, e.g. numerical maths, and mechanical engineering.

No. However, one is able to acquire this necessary knowledge effectively and efficiently.

No, not necessarily. You may then calculate everything someone’s suggesting to you, but not necessarily by and through.

Studies are usually very theoretical and mathematic-lastic.
However, if you want to do repairs yourself, you need a lot of experience, including intuition and a technical background.

This will succeed only very limited after studying physics.

If you are interested in technology and physics at the same time, I recommend you to study courses of the kind “Technical Physics” or “Physical Technology” to inform. Such courses are also offered at theoretically somewhat more demanding colleges (“university of applied sciences”) with engineering degree. Here, the employment prospects are very excellent even without an elaborate doctorate.

The basic physical principles of technology (from specific disciplines) should be understood. This does not mean, however, that concrete design decisions can be understood directly or reasonably met.
