Meanwhile I find it very pleasant to drive correctly and defensively. Always drive 5 km/h faster than allowed, which corresponds to “in real” then quite exactly to the permitted speed. Whether in 30-zones or on the highway with 60. And stop signs are kept short.

Still, I’m not a “sleeper.” Where’s 100, I’ll drive 100. And I consistently drive past flashers with the “5 km/h too fast” as they only trigger at higher speeds. Many don’t seem to know that and drive past the 50s flasher at 35 km/h.

I have the feeling that more and more people go through about 70km/h. It’s too fast and too slow.

Always drive 10 kmh faster than you can. On stop signs I don’t always bring the vehicle to a standstill. I rarely practice shoulder views.

That’s why I don’t pay attention to them strictly.

Unfortunately, I very often ignore the octagonal stop sign.
