Don't vegans have a lot of vitamin deficiencies?
Doesn't that eventually have a negative effect on the body? How do they get what they never consume? Medication? Well then, they can consider themselves lucky that modern medicine exists.

I stored cooked food in the fridge a few days ago. When I took it out today, the inside of the cherry tomatoes was mushy and green. Did the tomatoes go bad in the fridge, or are they still edible?
Hello, are these fruits enough to get all my vitamins, like C, etc.? I always buy bananas, kiwis, blueberries, and mangoes. Are these fruits enough, or do I need to add more? Besides fruit, I also eat minced meat, eggs, raw milk cheese, avocados, basmati rice, potatoes, and sweet potatoes. I'm asking so I can…
Good morning, I have to give a presentation soon about excessive sugar consumption and I had planned to rank three types of cream cheese in the chapter "hidden sugar" and then determine which one has the most sugar. However, I also want the class to use sugar cubes to estimate the amount of sugar in…
I really hate going to the urologist. How can I overcome this? I'm over 20, generally quite independent, and live alone. But the topic has always been an absolute no-go for me. But I've been having some kind of problem down there for a while now. It feels like something's not quite right. But I've…
They often have deficiencies such as blenders or vegetarians. But there are deficiency symptoms in every diet:
Three girlfriends of mine have an iron deficiency & one of them additionally a vitamin D deficiency, although they are mixed chefs.
Deficiencies in vegans are also more often discovered as they are more likely to check their nutrient balance when they feel bad.
And you also need to remember that mixed chefs rarely have a lack, but more often surpluses of certain nutrients.
Vegans at least take artificial vitamin B12. Everything else can also be gained from other sources:
And no, no drugs, as food supplements are officially considered food according to the EU regulation.
Mixers also take this, as 95% of all farm animals get food supplements here in Germany. Just on an indirect path.
Yes, more and more studies show the harmfulness of this malnutrition:
tend to more osteoporosis and bone fractures:

more days of illness

to more mental illnesses:

higher risk of death

The mental illness has nothing to do with nutrition. It is a correlation and no causality. Vegans are more often thinking about animal suffering such as mixed basters, which naturally strains the psyche. In addition, vegans in society are more difficult. Especially in 2018, where your study is from, this was even more present than today.
And nuts help differently as in your study claims against depression: https://youtu.be/aQUDBrSBQ8I?si=y9Ez79WA546uhXr1 (06:01)
Why should vegan vitamin deficiency have? Vitamins are mainly in fruits, not in meat and animal products… if, then vitamin B12 and that is simply supplemented to the animals in most cases, because they can no longer take it through diet in mass animal husbandry… you can also simply skip the step and supplement it yourself!
Since vegans often deal more with their diet than omnivores, they often pay more attention to covering all the needs of macro- and micronutrients and this is absolutely possible with just very little supplements in a reasonable vegan diet.
At any rate, you don’t seem to have a lack – at least not prejudices…;)
Except for a few vitamins, you will find everything necessary in vegetable foods – only vitamin B12 and vitamin D (during the sun-poor months in northern areas) should be supplemented.
Knowledge value should be in this context that so-called. “Everything” the supplementation of certain substances – urgent – is recommended!
Grade B12 is usually also mixed with so-called “Use” into the feed – why?
Because they barely stand on healthy mothers – and do not receive “natural” food anymore!
I know a lot of “emnis” that supplement what the stuff holds – on advice from her doctor or self-employed…
Accordingly, you should still hurry to your – expandable – knowledge about vegan diet…
I guess I’m happy to have looked over my – literally – plate edge.
As far as “modern medicine” is concerned, I certainly do not profit much from it – and vice versa…;)
I’m just asking, I didn’t think there were any stupid questions just stupid answers. At least you say that, speech type yk
So actually they only lack B12 if they don’t just feed them from cardboard lids.
Yes, there are lots of deficiencies the vegans get easier than people who actually feed themselves balanced. But vitamins are not the first thing that comes into your mind
Right, vegans have a blatant nutrient deficiency. They try to balance this with all kinds of artificial means, but this is unhealthy, artificial vitamins and minerals are not suitable for it and other replacements are not available.
blatant prejudices – but there would be good “medicine”…;)
That’s not true. Only B12 is questionable. But is it tragic that you should take the B12-enriched products as a vegan? That we take all salt to us every day, otherwise coma and death threatens you not to worry?
“That we take all the salt to us every day, otherwise coma and death threatens you not to worry?”
No. It’s about vegans missing a lot of nutrients. Let’s take salt to us.
Yeah, that’s right, they’re missing about. 1 dozen important substances.
The body stores up to 2 years, partly only 4 days.
A vegan gets sick by this.
That’s not quite right, with permission.
Oh, I don’t know, let them do what they want and if I don’t care.
I’m sure it’s nice to think about animals like that, but there’s something missing?
I guess you’re probably still quite young, so your behavior is normal. At my age, I don’t care about things that don’t affect me and have no influence on me and I enjoy things and focus on what I can influence and what affects me. This makes life easier and you will understand that at some point, but that comes with age.
Not more.
No, a vegan who feeds balanced does not have a lot of deficiency
Of course he did.
Are there any supplements against stupid prejudice?
How do you get mad? B12 should be added.
Why do people need to be patty if you don’t know something? You know fortunately about everything you know
But for not knowing anything, you represent a rather strong view 😂.
Your “question” was not very “neutral” – and unbiased at all!
So you don’t have to wonder…
This depends above all on the way you ask. The question sounds like you already made a verdict.
It is so that vegans, as they do not eat all, also do not get many nutrients into the body. Artificial replacement is permanently unsuitable or generally and there are no other replacements.
The supplements of the Omnis – and the farm animals – are also from the same source…
So why are you biting the vegans?
Fear for daily meat on your plate ?
