Vasectomy at 27 – 2 children?
Hello,
I'm currently 27 (male) and considering having a vasectomy. I have two wonderful children and can't afford to have any more. I also want to give my two children my full attention, which might be lost if I had more. On top of that, the housing market is already challenging us.
Other contraceptives are too “unsafe” for me, or our discipline is not the best in this regard.
How can I credibly convey to a urologist that family planning is now complete and that a vasectomy is justifiable?

You should be able to find a urologist with exactly the arguments you wrote, who performs vasectomy with you.
In doubt, you have to ask 2 or 3. But then you’re wrong.

Thank you, the urologist agreed. Wasn’t done because of my age, but I meant that I did my best with 2 kids 😅

what I read so, bears the health insurance, the costs only if it is medically necessary. So if there is a health risk for your wife/girl, then the balance still has to take place if there is no alternative.
When it comes to the vasectomy itself, it is probably approx. 600 €, it’s your body, so you have to decide at the end what you want. And the doctor can best convince if you just tell him the reasons.

With exactly the arguments described here, you should find a urologist who performs a vasectomy with you and can give you a lasting security before further paternity.
You don’t have to convince the doctor, you don’t care.
I don’t think you have to explain so much to the Urologist. You’ll probably have to pay the surgery yourself.
Self-payment is clear, but once in my environment you have to convince the urologists that a vasectomy is appropriate in the respective situation.
The intervention should not be a problem with the child’s desire already fulfilled.
