Vampire Crab Volcano Keeping?

Hello!

I have now learned a little about this species of crab and I am very impressed by it.

My husband is making me a terrarium. I want the front area to be only 20cm and the back area to be 50cm (a more detailed description will follow via a bad sketch 🙈😂). The question is: Do they have a chance of getting up and breaking out of a smooth, 18cm wall?

Do you have any other tips and ideas?

My plan is to build a rock wall on the back wall with lots of climbing and hiding places, roots, plants and the water bowl in the middle, and I want to leave the front as empty as possible (3-4cm).

kind regards

Nathi

I have seen a video on Youtube as the same format for vampire crabs just makes a little bigger. The channel is called Ferret wonderland if you want to watch

Hello. I can't give you any details of posture, but I know this way feels comfortable with a rather large water part. These 18 cm aren't much, they probably can climb out. An open paludarium is not recommended because vampire crabs appreciate a very high humidity. The 80% are obviously difficult to achieve.
