Is a VA panel as good as an IPS panel?
I want to buy a new monitor. I currently have a Samsung curved monitor with an IPS panel, but only 60Hz
That's why I want a 140Hz monitor, but they only have VA panels. I've read that the current VA panels are so good that you can hardly notice any difference.
How do you see this?
You see the difference immediately. Just go to Mediamarkt and keep both of you in front of your face.
VA has inconceivably bad angles. Easy over, under, from the left, from the right. This is washed, brighter, darker, looks super fucking, especially when a clean IPS screen is next to it.
Apart from that, the color representation of VA is usually there, you see colors, but this is anything but accurate and suitable. Although it depends heavily on the monitor, in principle an IPS is in terms of color reproduction, but is in front of the house.
