Well, no wonder. This comes from the fact that a layman, erases in the system without plan.

C:\Users is the ORDNER with the settings for the created users and their installed programs and the start menu.

Then I assume that was the folder for the user directories. That would explain the problems.

That’s because you don’t see Windows system files so you can’t change them

Fortunately, there are backups. Easy to recover from backup.
