“USB controlled by … connected device” means that the Card Reader should take over the control. I guess he’s hardly designed for that.
So you would have to let the tablet control (“USB controlled by … this device”).
It can still be that the tablet with the card reader does not get clear – this type of card reader works as a hub to which two free ports and two card readers are connected, and many mobile devices do not get to deal with USB hubs.
