Vacation entitlement in a mini-job: Why are 5 vacation days deducted from my entitlement for 2 working days?

Hello everyone,

Could someone perhaps help me? I have a part-time job and have applied for a week's vacation, during which I normally only work two days. I have a total of seven vacation days left. However, five vacation days have now been deducted from my vacation for this one week.

Does that make sense? I thought you only had to take vacation for the days you actually work. So why am I deducting five vacation days, even though I only worked two days that week? And shouldn't all vacation days set by the company be paid, because if that were the case, I would also be earning more than the monthly €538?

I would be very grateful for your help!

If 5 days of holiday are taken off for a week of work, you must also have the corresponding number of days a year. You also calculate the compensation for 5 days.

For a 5-day week, at least 20 days.

If that’s the case, it’s correct. You can do that.

Is also in case of illness, not only write sick on the 2 days where you would normally have worked but if necessary. all week.

You can do it like that, if necessary, the days are contractually not fixed or so.

If you were expecting 2 days a week and with a minimum vacation, you would have had 3 days rest for the year.

You don’t have a disadvantage.

You only receive the minimum number of holiday days and that is paid in 20 days for a 5 day week, i.e. 4 weeks.

No, that’s fraud.
