Copyright infringement of videos?

I uploaded a video to YouTube, but I don't want it online anymore. Someone has already responded. They have about 20 seconds of me in their video. If I report it for copyright infringement, is that easy, or could they take legal action? Is a major YouTuber

You are the author of the video and you can decide whether or not your video can be used. Of course, you can report the video unconsiderably due to copyright infringement and possibly striken. Alternatively, you can also contact the YouTuber management.

You don’t have to do that for the first time. A message from YouTube will also be followed.

There it comes to the form of the reaction. If it is a use within the meaning of the citation right (German copyright i.V.m. UrhDaG), then you have bad cards. You can, of course, submit it to YouTube as a complaint and hope that it will be implemented.

But at the moment you publish a video, you make it publicly accessible – what miracles – and so everyone can do what copyright allows.

The Creator has the opportunity to cut out the spot in the video. Ask him.

If the rights of the video really lie with you, you can sue successfully. But I would first read myself in detail through the YouTube AGBs, who knows where there are hooks…

Sue without a lawyer? I would leave it in general.

Copyright does not have much to do with the AGB because the author is in Germany.

German laws apply.

Probably, yes, if you’re not insured. Therefore, for example, I am insured, sure is safe.

Without a lawyer, it would be a huge effort because you would have to do everything yourself and stand alone in court as a layman. 😅

“Brauchen” is exaggerated, but it’s the usual way, yes, or are you a lawyer?

You can, of course, first write this youtuber and politely ask to take this video down

This would of course be the friendly way

If he does not respond to it, you can of course report it to you that the rights lie with you and if in your case even your face is to be seen, the image-right anyway lies with you

In this case, there is even a violation of your personal right (right to your own image)

Then only one strike and possibly legal steps depending on the range will even help
