Upload website?

Good day,

We have the following concern.

We are a medium-sized transport company and have a not too complicated website so that our customers can contact us with a contact form

Our website was previously managed by a service provider, and our contract is about to expire.

The site was created with Typo3, and with a little help, we managed to download it using WinSCP. It's now saved on the computer.

We would like our customers to be able to continue to contact us until the new service provider takes over uploading them.

We can buy a domain from Strato, Ionos or united Domains, for example; we have a transfer password.

The question is, how do we upload the site so that it is operational again and with which tools?

Can someone write us a step by step guide on how to do this?

Thanking you in advance,

Igor

Typi3 uses a database in the background. The files load the data to be displayed from the database when you access the website. I don’t know the tool WinSCP, but I think it only downloads the individual website files, but not the data of the database. If so, the website cannot be restored by uploading the files.

that is correct that not only the complete data are needed, but also an export of the database.

In order to restore the website, it not only needs the files, but also the database.
That’s not a big thing, but it’s not a trivial thing, and it’s best to do someone who knows something about it.

If a new service provider takes care of it anyway and the website is mainly there for contacting, you can also easily find a new simple website e.g. Create sp. with WordPress or create the building boxes of the hosting providers, which is done in a few clicks.
