Unterscheid Rettungssanitäter/Notfallsanitäer in Österreich vs. Deutschland?
Hallo,
This is usually so not possible. There is also no formal recognition within the European Union (EU) of retiring training completed in another Member State. If at all, the application is required by the respective competent authority, which then checks the equivalence of the training and either recognizes it on the basis of it, issues such as further training and/or additional examination, or, if the differences are too large, rejects the application in principle, so that it would then proceed to the complete training in the respective professional qualification. The latter would be tolerated as training in Austria and in Germany differ considerably.
In Austria, the occupational image of the emergency medical device and that of the emergency medical device is regulated by law in the Sanitary Act (SanG). After that, the training to the rescue instructor comprises a total of only 260 hours, consisting of 100 hours of training and 160 hours in the rescue service, plus the communicative final examination. The training as an emergency medical officer, is based on this and includes a further 480 hours, of which 160 hours are spent on a course, 40 hours on a hospital internship and 280 hours in the emergency medical system, of which, however, up to 120 hours can also be completed in the hospital, after which, the communicative examination takes place. Thus, the regular training as an emergency medical agent in Austria comprises a total of 780 hours. Through additional courses, the so-called “emergency skills” can be acquired. These, therefore, are not part of regular training, but are then followed by additional courses.
In Germany, however, rescue aids take at least 520 hours of training, i.e. twice. At the federal level, there are only training principles, recommendations or the model training and examination regulations for rescue medical practitioners. In conclusion, training is regulated by national law, i.e. by the individual Länder. These, however, are oriented towards the abovementioned. The division of the individual hours may vary depending on the federal state by completing the training. Overall, however, it is always at least 520 hours. The training as an emergency suitor is regulated by the Emergency SanG law and takes a total three years and concludes at the end with a total ten-part state audit. In time hours, there are at least 4,600 hours in total, consisting of at least 1,920 hours of teaching at a state-recognized school for emergency medical staff, 1,960 hours of practical training in rescue services and 720 hours of practical training in various departments of a suitable hospital. You see that the difference in training as an emergency suitor in Austria is enormous, so there is no chance of recognition here. In Germany, the Austrian emergency medical officer would possibly be recognized as rescue medical personnel, but not as emergency medical personnel.

thanks for the detailed answer! If the training is not uniform, do you still think it makes sense in Vienna to make an emergency training if you go to Germany or do you have to re-enter the entire training?
So, rescue instructors, should be less sensible in Austria (Vienna), because just 260 hours of training are compared to at least 520 hours of training. The chance of recognition in Germany is likely to go against zero. The rescue worker, who is only employed in Germany in the field of qualified medical transport as a second person and as a driver (principle not in the field of emergency rescue), has already completed a total of 320 hours of training in most federal states, i.e. more than the rescue worker in Austria. RS has written in Austria as in my answer 100 hours of course. In Germany, according to how the individual hours are distributed in the respective federal state, at least 200 hours composed of 160 hours of basic course and 40 hours of final course with the final examination. Some federal states, but now also have 240 hours of basic course plus degree course, alone at courses. A hospital internship, which in Germany also basically belongs to training, depending on the federal state 160 hours or 80 hours, is completely lacking in Austria. One would accordingly get at least one further training (missing training hours, possibly complete basic course, hospital internship and final examination). Mf
Have just read in the recognition portal Germany again and there is no need to make a recognition check you can still volunteer as it would be advantageous
I just looked after. For the federal state of NRW, §20(2) of the RettSanAPrV NRW is relevant here. Accordingly, a training as an emergency medical officer outside the Federal Republic of Germany is recognised by the competent authority if it is equivalent. In the same way, in terms of training hours and training contents. That would then not happen as mentioned. Mf
This is a matter of country as mentioned in the rescue agency. The Länder are governed here by a national law and/or by a corresponding legal regulation, which is necessary. In the case of emergency medical, it is regulated by federal law in NotSanG, including recognition from other EU states. Mf
Inform yourself with the relevant organizations and do not listen to half truths that are being told here.
It is not just about money but much more about the legal framework.

Infor would prefer to listen to the relevant organizations than here on Dr Google!
Okay, thanks
