Unknowingly pregnant for 6 months?
Hello, I have the following problem: About six months ago, I was on vacation in Sicily with my close friends. I had a brief but intimate encounter with a man in a club. I was already a bit tipsy, so I didn't think about contraception. I've been single for a while and therefore rarely use it. After the vacation, however, my period didn't come, and I immediately took a pregnancy test, which was negative.
I let it rest, but even after two months, I still hadn't had my period. I took another test and it was negative again. It reassured me because it didn't seem like I was pregnant, and eventually, I just forgot about it because of the stress at work. My period had been pretty irregular before, so I just wanted to wait and see.
A few weeks ago, however, I noticed that I was gaining a little weight, especially around my stomach, but I didn't think anything of it. Yesterday, when I met up with a friend, she jokingly mentioned it to me and said my body looked like I was pregnant. It made me nervous, so after the meeting, I went to the drugstore to buy a pregnancy test. I took it, and this time it was positive.
However, I haven't had a GSV since my vacation. Am I really pregnant, or was the test just a false positive? I have an appointment with my gynecologist in two days, but I still wanted to get your opinion :/
