Uninstall Edge 2024 from Windows 10?
How do I uninstall this browser? It's not possible via the Control Panel, nor is it possible via the default settings. The uninstall icon isn't grayed out, but when I click "Uninstall," it asks me whether I want to uninstall, and when I click "Yes," nothing happens. (Windows 10)
Can be that you need to restart Windows!
Is there a good reason why you want to uninstall it?
The uninstalling from Internet Explorer or along Edge can cause problems because it is heavily integrated in Windows and is also used at some places.
It has the reason that I’ve been looking for one that can only be removed from the browser. so to say
I wonder you have the option at all.
But that’s not a good idea anyway, the Edge or the Edge Runtime – similar to the Internet Explorer – is used as a basis for WebBrowser controls for software developers. This means that if a company develops a software that needs a browser engine, the edge engine is usually used for this. If you uninstall them, these programs will no longer work.
If necessary, you can uninstall the “visible” part from the edge, but the engine must stay, so you have no advantage. Windows also uses the Edge.
Look for child backups, Windows is bringing me an own one, you could test it out.
Or simply disconnect the internet connection.
I shouldn’t know anyway
What do you know?
Obviously not at all.
You can delete it manually, simply search the path where it is installed (with me under “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft”) and delete it.
But as I said, you’re probably gonna ruin something.
