Retraining from electronics technician for industrial engineering to electronics technician for building and energy technology?

I'm currently training to be an industrial electronics technician and I'd like to know if I can retrain or further my education in building and energy technology after completing my training, or rather, as an electrician for construction sites. Is such a thing possible? I have the electrical expertise after my training, but I lack the practical knowledge I need on the construction site.
