Retraining as a beautician?

Hello,

I'm a trained media designer and have been working in this profession since completing my apprenticeship two years ago. Now I realize that this career doesn't fulfill me, and I can't imagine doing it for the rest of my life. Maybe on the side, yes, but not full-time. I've been interested in cosmetics my whole life and love applying makeup and customer service. Therefore, I would like to retrain as a beautician, but unfortunately, I've heard that this isn't funded by the employment agency. What can I do now? (I'm currently still working, though.)

You don’t get anything financed in this case, but you are completely free to make it at your own expense

What does the employment office have to do with it?

You can easily complete a second training.

KP, why all the others should keep for their own wishes, you are obviously able to earn your living and should make it possible for you to make your dream yourself.

You are free to start a second training course or to make various bills in weekend and holiday courses.

You can earn money in the profession you have learned. The cheaper you live, the more you can save and the faster you can start.

Retraining is financed if you can no longer work in your profession for health reasons, for example, or if you have learned a profession where there is no perspective, i.e. no jobs.

Since there are many cosmetic studios, the demand is not very high, it is difficult to get this training financed.

If you want to make up, the beautician is not recommended, in this profession the make-up is rather marginal. Better then you’d have a course for the Visagistin/Make-Up Artist. Since this is not a training profession, no retraining can be offered. You can do this within a few weeks/months, for example on weekends or evenings. Of course, you have to finance this yourself.

If you find a cosmetic studio that’s training, then of course you can start a new training.
