Dealing with relatives?

I have noticed the following over the years with my relatives.

The last time we saw each other was at my parents' funeral.

Or you get invited to a birthday or wedding party even though your statements were always we'll stay in touch or until next time.

I have sought contact with messages, SMS, etc.

only rarely did anything come back

And from my side, I don't run after people like that.

when you don't even get a message from them. How are you or is everything okay with you.

but only invitations to parties or happy birthdays.

I only ever hear about it from my sister.

they don't even contact you personally.

testifies to me it doesn't interest them at all.

Now the question is: break off contact or stop contacting me?
