I use a lot and I also find much better than WhatsApp and Co. – not because of privacy/data protection, but because of the extremely good range of functions, group search function, group bots etc. Telegram also runs much better and, unlike WhatsApp, where bugs sometimes exist for years, it is also taken care of.
Who wants to boycott the messenger can do it, but do you think they care? What are they gonna lose? Political sanction in any form would be censorship.
Yeah, I’m sorry. The only thing you can do about it is to be sensitized for this, but Telegram will not do anything about it. The only thing that has been fought so far in my knowledge are terrorist organizations and child pornography, Russian fake news that are not of interest.

Okay, everybody can do that if he/she wants to. But if you know how to stay away from Russian propaganda and other dubious channels, Telegram is a super messenger for any topic.

Depending on the occasion and contacts, I use a mixture of Telegram, Signal and for less confidential messages WhatsApp. Currently TeleGuard test as the messenger can be used completely without personal data. What tells me is that contacts only consist of numbers, i.e. light ICQ Vibes.

In an e-mail program, hold mail servers communicating with each other and the exchange of larger data would not be so comfortable. The messengers are all quite similar, so messages, images, videos or creating groups.
A lot is simple convenience and can be communicated faster than when I first write the mail, select the mail address and send it at the end. Then also a question whether and how these are encrypted.
What’s different now with TeleGuard than anyone else is that you don’t have to disclose your name, mobile phone number or even your contacts. You get an anonymous number and that’s it.
If you want to write someone, he’ll have to report his number. What I don’t like now is CSS. However, completely hosted in Switzerland and operated by Swisscows through donations.
