Turn on iPad with fingerprint?

Hello,

I have the new iPad Air, and when I want to turn on my iPad, I have to press the button with my finger. With my Android phone, it automatically turns on as soon as my finger rests on it. Can I set this for the iPad as well, or do I always have to press the button?

When you purchase a cover with Smart function, the iPad will start as soon as you open the cover: Settings, Display & Brightness, Lock / Unlock = one

Of course, you still have to put the finger on the Touch ID button. Otherwise it won’t be unlocked.

Something like that. I’m not sure how tight the pencil is held there. Not that he slips down.

Can’t be disabled in the settings. You just have to put your finger and press the button 🤷 ♂️

You now have Face ID and have to wipe up once to unlock it. But yes, it’s the same with the iPhones. You put your finger on it, then you can press the button once

In iPhone, you can adjust it by touching the display or raising. It’s even easier. I almost never use the on/off switch.
