Turbo diesel tuning?
Hello everyone!
I currently have a 1.6 Multijet with 120 hp and am wondering if there's any way to improve its performance. A different turbocharger, booster unit, chip tuning, or manifold?
What would be possible and is 200 hp realistic?
Greetings
Depending on how long the engine is to live (a) and (b) which exhaust gas standard it must still meet.
I’ll tell you about software interventions etc. and a few small changes to the hardware CAN 200 hp. but I claim that this value will then reach one or two times on the roll and will no longer exist after the intervention with certainty.
from the acquaintance I know a Golf 3 TDI whose power was doubled from 66 to 132 kW times, with which the furnace could then record it with a VR6. A cooling water hose has been well placed on the train until 230 on the train at 6,800 tours and the cooling water has suddenly evaporated. the starting temperature shock was too much for the engine. A lot has been done on the engine, but it is just that small problems can also have greater consequences in the spheres.
It’s like the sportsmen. they also have to pay great attention to their diet and health, otherwise they can get to the catastrophe very quickly.
by chip tuning maybe on 140hp, but then it’s over
More only goes with a significant AUfwand or exchange for a 2.0JTD, which has 165hp and could probably get 190-200hp out by chip tuning
Forget the 200hp. In the diesel you do something about loading and rail printing. The diesel is technically limited by its self-ignition alone. Only the torque would break you up to your target when boosting power and then the gear
Not very much, except you exchange the engine in 2l
Don’t pay for the box. Brake must be adjusted etc.
