True Crimes real cases?

There are countless true crime videos on YouTube, i.e. real criminal cases. They're mostly about brutal things like murder or even rape of children. I understand that this is unfortunately the harsh reality of what happens in this sick world and what disturbed people there are, but these kinds of videos are very "popular" and I sometimes wonder if people watch them and think "oh, horrible" "something like that shouldn't happen" or "these monsters" OR do some people get excited by these "stories" and maybe even get inspiration to do the same. Because the comments under these videos are sometimes really disturbing and scary. What is your opinion?

There are actually people who celebrate the true crime scene.

I think the majority of the audience of these videos does not belong to any of the groups you described. I am very happy to see many of these videos and also for a very long time, because I find the human, psychological abyss very interesting. I find it fascinating for which people can be able and most of the time it is much more interesting as it came to. In most cases, such actions are based on serious mental illnesses or personal experiences of the perpetrators. It is simply very interesting what can become of people when they are mentally ill or have experienced bad things. No justification. There are also not totally absurd psychothrillers or horror films that are looked at for nothing. In many people, the fascination for abysses, without having any worrying backgrounds.

Yeah, that’s basically nothing else. You simply turn out empathy and pity, and focus on the investigations and facts that are reported. This may sound strange, but we (viewers) are certainly not bad people who have no compassion and are totally cold. But these videos usually focus on the investigation, not on the consequences for the relatives or the like.

I don’t have children, I think you’ll get a bit more sensitive to such issues. But people are very different in terms of sensitivity and emotionality. Those who determine in such cases also need a thick coat to do this at all.

I also often see True Crime.

I’m talking about the psychological and criminal thoughts.

How does the thought of murder arise?

Is it a person?

Can you see that in advance?

What childhood/youth/history had the perpetrator (is there prevention at all possible, or happen murders in the affect)

How does the perpetrator manage to hide the act? Is there a way to get back sooner?

How does the perpetrator deal with his act?

The bloody details, guts, etc. do not interest me, but purely the psychological aspect.

Could you have prevented it? Did the victim have too little caution?

Also what is called Victim-Blaming and what is to be done: has the victim provoked, humiliated, presented the perpetrator in a sustainable manner?

From all this you can take a long road map for your own caution, your own road map, etc. if you meet similar prehistory.

How I read in a book:

“We human beings need to be brutal or bestial thoughts otherwise we would get crazy, the difference is whether they are being executed or not”

Many look at it simply because they want to know how they can protect themselves better, but of course there is always the gloomy side spectatorship that really find it horny.

hope it helps:)

It can be both, but most people are probably just looking at it. Personally, I wouldn’t look at something like that that that could be disturbing.
