Monthly lenses despite a thin retina?

Hello,

I have a very thin retina and had a retinal tear a long time ago that was treated with laser photocoagulation.

I'm nearsighted.

Would there be any problems if I wore monthly contact lenses from the drugstore for about six hours tomorrow evening? I'd like to be able to see better that evening. (I don't have glasses yet, and I won't get them until tomorrow evening.)

I realize it might scratch because the lens isn't adjusted to my eye. But I'm thinking about worse after-effects.

Thank you in advance for your answers

I’d like to see better that night.

You think this will be the case with contact lenses from the Superark? Only the idea that she could scratch would prevent me from banging such a foreign body into my eye. Have you ever had a dust or hair or something else in your eye? What did you do? You’ve certainly rubbed until the foreign body was out. How do you feel about not sitting contact lenses? Are you rubbing all night? You’re gonna do that and you’re guaranteed to miss the evening. Apart from that you probably don’t know the right strength, it’s definitely different from the strength of the glasses.

But I mean worse repercussions.

Non-adjusted contact lenses can cause inflammation, scars and ulcers on the cornea, some of which are no longer to be repaired.
If you want to make it happen, that’s your free choice, always with the thought in mind, I only have these two eyes.
I strongly advise you.
You have to ask yourself at most why you don’t have glasses for a long time or a second glasses or CL.

Then it’s okay. I cannot imagine that something would speak against CL because of the spatial distance between retina and cornea.
Anyway, nice evening tomorrow.

That’s actually a question you should ask your ophthalmologist. However, contact lenses are not on the retina so that I would not expect any problems here for six hours. But that’s just the opinion of a medical layman.
