Am I drinking water correctly?

I've always done it this way: I only drink when I'm thirsty, and then drink a large amount, like at least 0-5 liters of water in one go. I see that almost all of my friends often drink very small amounts. For example, they carry a 1-liter bottle with them and take a sip every few minutes. Which is better?

The latter. Who waits until he has thirst can harm himself, circulatory, for example, may not even be hot. Humans should drink 2.5 l of water every day

The latter is better.

Otherwise, you have always drank phases of dehydration and too much, which the body does not need all at once. So you will also often have to go to the toilet because the body immediately leaves half of it.

It makes sense. I drink, however, even if I have an appetite for a delicious drink. I also don’t drink my cup of tea for breakfast against thirst.

I wouldn’t make it. It is striking that you cover your daily fluid requirement. That’s the best way to do it for you. So keep doing this when you feel comfortable with it.

Since the body can absorb only a limited amount of liquid per hour, superfluous water is quickly removed again. Large amounts of liquid should therefore be avoided at once. Instead, drink at regular intervals over the day. As a rule of thumb: a glass of water per hour.

Just like you should eat when you’re hungry, you should just drink when you’re thirsty. A healthy body already points to a lack of condition (so far before dehydration, so that you do not have to execut 3 liters), be it water or food, or even certain nutrients, it can indicate one by getting appetite for one thing.
