TRIM command is displayed incorrectly?

Greetings,

I just wanted to check my SSD for TRIM and did this with
"fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify" done. According to many media and websites…

  • ..a "0" = Activated
  • ..a "1" = Disabled

My result is "0".
Great, I thought, but why does it say DEACTIVATED in brackets?

Can anyone do this on their (Win10, latest version, as well as all drivers etc.)

Thank you

This is always the case that double denials are difficult to understand.

DisableDeleteNotify is disabled.

Thus, when viewed logically, EnableDeleteNotify is activated.

Is really formulated for human understanding.

0 means An is right.

Correct. SSDs have been used with activated TRIM since Windows 7.

Jetz don’t make a kopp. Ne SSD is not a raw egg. Of course, the cells are not eternally descriptible. But nowadays, the service life of an SSD is about as high as with an HDD for normal use. The TBW manufacturers are also very conservative. So you would probably have to rewrite zig gigabyte to the SSD for 5-10 years a day before the manufacturer’s specification is reached at all. And most of the SSDs keep up much longer.
