Training: Too reserved?

Hi,

I have been training to be a media technologist since September last year.

I recently had a feedback session with my trainer.

One part was about how I have a hard time internalizing things.

I would love to do more, question colleagues to learn better, but my shyness just keeps me from doing so.
I'm actually a pretty reserved person, so I'd like to ask for some heartfelt advice.

I honestly want to get out of this vicious cycle, but this fear is holding me back.

I look forward to helpful answers.

Then sit on your PC and research the questions and things you want to understand better. With a little exercise and patience/time you will be helpful.

For people who are not so communal, this is a chance. Use them.

Ohh I know this with the shyness and then the combination with the first workstation, strange people etc…

This will be better, working with time self-confident 🤞

Remember (in the sense of “I notice something”, do I accept?):

You don’t have to know everything by heart, you just have to know where to look! Be curious (I would like to understand why you solve this, …) etc.

I had a similar experience in my teaching period: I had such a “standard question” and at some point my colleague said, “Take up if you can’t remember it”

So I do this for 15 years 😅 everything new is immediately listed and I can read and rejoice that I could solve the task without help

I always make notes. Go to those who are likeable to me and look a lot for me.
