Training process in the Jäger troops?

Hi, I'm starting my service in the Bundeswehr on January 1, 2024. A slip of paper I received states that I'll be completing the first three months, my AGA, in Munster. After that, I'll be transferred to my home unit in JgBtl 413.

However, it says online that training courses, such as those at the Infantry School in Hammelburg or similar, will still take place.

So my question (preferably to soldiers who were also trained in the Jäger troops):

How exactly does this training work?

Where will I be stationed or have my training courses?

How long do these courses last?

When will I be permanently stationed in my home unit in Torgelow?

Thanks for the answers/corrections!

You make AGA and are then driven from your regular unit into the SGA (special basic training) and DPA (service post training).

SGA and DPA take place in Torgelow.
I hope you come from the area and/or have a driving license.

It's interesting that it's already clear from the outset that you're supposed to come into the Slayer.

A decision whether you are even fit for the job should only be made after careful examination in the Grundi.

I did my basic training as a radio. (with a parachute hunter as an instructor). I was then transferred to the Jägertruppe in Münster.

Perhaps the radio operator training was therefore particularly hard.

Have fun in the Grundi 😉
