Training as an IT specialist in application development at a bank?
Does it matter where you do this kind of training? Is it a good idea to do it at a bank? Do you have any experience?
Do you have to continue working at a bank after your training or does it not matter?
It doesn't matter what industry you're doing. What is more important is that this company really covers all the areas of training that are planned so that you can really do everything and not just learn it theoretically! Or that the bank alternatively has a cooperation with other companies, where you can scale into these areas for weeks or months.
You can read these areas in the Vocational Training Regulation. There's everything you need to do and learn in the three years.
Put this regulation in addition to the job alert and see how the alert covers everything or where there are doubts as to whether it exists in this bank. The latter would then be directly very good, targeted requests for an interview :).
And no, you don't have to stay in the banking sector. However, it can be quite good that you learn a few specificities of the financial sector in this training – and that can be a very good argument to do well in this area after training if you want that then!
Where you do the training really doesn't matter, check the IHK anyway. And after your training, you're free to stay with your training or not.
In IT professions, however, experience is the be-all and end-all. You will have significantly better job opportunities when you stay at your training establishment for 2-3 years and then change.
The practical tasks will always differ between the companies. But the school/learning part is always the same. And no, after training you can change the operation, it is not said that you will be taken over automatically.
