Trailer payload?
Hello, can someone please tell me what the payload of a trailer actually is, or what it means? Cars can weigh up to 3.5 tons, including the trailer. So how large can the payload be? It has nothing to do with the trailer weight, right?
Thanks
Payload is ultimately the mass you can load and transport in the car.
Example: zG (3.5 t) minus the empty mass (2.0 t) gives the payload (1.5 t).
pkw can be 3.5 ton heavy.Trailer even and if you have BE and your car has released for 35.ton suspension load can drag it.egal whether car or trailer, both have an empty weight and a total weight.the difference is the utility load
One has nothing to do with the other.
This is a question of driving licences and it counts only the permissible total weight, which must not exceed 3.5 t together, whether car and trailer are empty or full.
Right. The admissible trailer load is in the papers of the car and then counts the actual weight of the trailer including its loading. If you violate it, it’s not a driving licence violation, it’s an overload.
Payload is the difference between idle weight and permissible total weight.
