Trade Republic checking account?
Hello,
I got early access to my Trade Republic checking account and accepted it. Now I'm wondering…what exactly does that mean? Sure, I now have a checking account with Trade Republic, but am I still with Sparkasse? I hope so 😀
The following text:
"You have successfully activated your new Trade Republic IBAN. You can find your new account details below and in your profile. Your old IBAN will remain active until August 30, 2024. After that, transfers to your old IBAN will be rejected."
Does the old IBAN mean my Sparkasse checking account IBAN? Did I just change banks? Will I no longer be with Sparkasse in the future?
No, you just got the TR-IBAN. Current account has not yet rolled out any function, this only happens over the next few months.
You have a current account with Trade Republic now
Yes, that’s not affected by it
No. TR has opened you a billing account at one of the partner banks – so far you had to send your money to see it on the billing account. This will be replaced by your IBAN, which you will get at TR itself.
No.
Yes, that remains – Sparkasse would have to announce you explicitly.
Of course, you can always consider switching to another bank if, for example, fees or services do not vote
Top. Meaning then just that I have 2 current accounts. I wanted to have it or something.
I also do this: salary account at the savings bank and share account at the Ing. There is no risk of using money from the share purchase account.
No one can know what you clicked at TR.
