Tracer necessary on the rifle?

Hi,

It's me again. I've had some friends tell me and demonstrate how "useful" a tracer is indoors and at night. On the one hand, a tracer hasn't caught me yet, since it only shows the opponent the direction the shot came from.

On the other hand, I find it quite remarkable when the bullet leaves the barrel and leaves a tracer.

Now to my question:

Who of you uses a tracer and is satisfied with it?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of a tracer and is it really necessary?

Tracers are expensive in addition to ammunition ->. The whole thing looks in the night/darkness partly truly spectacular, but as you have noticed shcon shows the whole also the approximate position of the shooter. Red Dot makes more sense.

So I don’t use tracers. I thought about it, of course. But the fact that the whole story reveals the location is bad for people with a DMR.

Sure. A tracer is more of a gimmick. An expensive one.
