Topping autoflower?

Hello,

Can you top autoflower plants earlier, for example, to do mainlining? I've seen some videos where they topped after the third node and the plants continued to grow well. Although they say from the eighth node onward. It was indoors, but with good light conditions, the plant is in the same conditions. Right? So can you top them that early or not?

Thank you in advance

You can also tap a plant after the 1st nodie…..How good the plant is dealing with it depends on the genetics and can not be estimated before, since in addition each plant that is drawn from seeds is different (what is always the case with cars).

Therefore, experienced growers clone their mother plants because they can estimate the size of the clones and how they grow. You can also find out when you top the plants in which you simply pull 3 clones and top them on different nodies. So at the 1st cloning, for example after the 1st nodie. At 2nd clone after the 3rd nodie etc. At the end of the grow you know when the best time is torn and can take this into account at the next pass.

‘Topping’ does not necessarily increase the flower yield.

Example: If a plant is grown by the Sea of Green method, it will develop a so-called ‘Cola’, a thick candle-like flower that (for example) produces 30 g of dry product.
If you first pick up the plant, two flower strands will emerge, which are only half as large and weigh about half the ‘SoG-Top-Cola’.
If youโ€™re picking up several times, the number of flowers increases, but not necessarily the total weight of weed to be harvested.

Topping makes sense if you want to make a mother plant from an ordinary (non-automatic) plant, which is used as a clon or Ableger winch or if you want to better use the illuminating surface by ‘busching’ the plant.
