To Kaprun without a vignette?

I'm currently at a rest stop and wanted to buy a toll sticker for Austria because I have to go to Kaprun. But the internet says you don't need one for that trip. Google Maps also shows a quick route when you select the toll-free option. Is this possible without a toll sticker, or will I end up stuck?

You can google maps’ Trust details about the tolling requirement quite well, all the variants you show are toll-free. The route, which lasts 2h17min, is still a bit over the Austrian motorway A12, but it has been toll-free for a few years until the exit Kufstein Süd so that you don’t get from Germany on land roads and thus the border villages are loaded.

According to my knowledge, only motorways are tollable in Austria, so you don’t need a “Pickerl”. But: Remember, even if you take off directly after the border, this would already be motorway use, so you have to leave the motorway in Germany before.

In Austria, you need Vignetten exclusively for the use of the motorway and the tolls are to be paid to pass roads.

You only need vignettes for the highway.

The proposed route does not include a highway in AT, so you do not need Vignette

You know a little bit.

But am I judge: You are at Irschenberg and leave the highway in Oberaudorf?

Then you don’t need a vigilante

It is necessary to keep in mind that the motorways are just subject to a fee. ATTENTION: In Austria, the federal roads are BLAU (in Germany just the motorway). And the GREEN roads are the highway in Austria.

But as I said, if you’re going down in Oberaudorf, you don’t have to pay tolls, I’ve been driving the bullshit a few times. Although not to Kaprun but to Zell am See but to the few last kilometers, this is the same
