What speaks for HDD is the low price and from my own experience I can say that data can remain 20 years with proper storage.

A SSD is more expensive and every 2 years it has to be connected once, otherwise data loss is threatened. I only trust HDDs.

Yes, in the children’s room equipment 2TB SSDs will become standard at some point, then HDDs will only arrive in NAS and RAID servers and on the Internet .

For the little things, this may be done, but from 8TB the SSDs are 4.5x so expensive (600€: 132€), for 22TB it is then 5000€: 600€, i.e. factor 8.33. Are you still ready to put on SSDs??
