Table lamp turns on when I turn on the TV?

Hello, the following happens, I have a floor lamp/table lamp.

These can be switched on via touch.

The entire base of the lamp is made of metal and no matter where I touch it (on the metal) it turns on.

This lamp is located behind the TV. The cable from the PlayStation also runs behind the TV (the PlayStation is not connected).

As soon as this cable touches the lamp and I then turn on the TV, the lamp turns on.

Why? Is this dangerous?

The lamp responds to touch. I don't understand why. Does turning on the TV send electricity through the PlayStation cable, causing it to move, and thus turning on the TV?

is something like that possible?

This lamp reacts to the smallest electrical charge changes. Therefore, even on your hand, and also on larger charge changes nearby, which can also bridge smaller distances (invisible). It’s not dangerous.

Huhu, the lamp apparently reacts to heat, not to touch 😉

Nonsense.
Such lamps react to the change of an electric field that is emitted by the lamp itself. If the hand is near the lamp, it switches on or off or is dimmed.
Like all electrical devices, the TV also has an electric field around itself and this has an influence on the lamp.

Heat is infrared radiation, for this purpose such lamps have no sensor system installed and therefore there is no physical basis for reacting to heat.

had the same phenomenon

Must have something to do with the tension fluctuations.
