Tire not sitting properly on the rim?

Hey,

I had to change my tube and today I put the tire back on

now the casing (original) has an oval shape and the tire does not expand properly

What should I do? Does anyone have any idea?

I don't understand why expensive things are always built so complicated. On my old 400 Euro bike it worked without any problems.

Just align the coat (the ceiling) again.

On the tire flank are control lines that have to run parallel to the rim and you can orient it.

Please leave some air out of the tire and correct the seat.

If the jacket cannot be moved, too much air is still in the hose.

However, you can also moisten the tire flank with some water with rinsing agent, then the correction is easier.

There’s nothing in the pictures. But let the most air out again and massage the tire through: touch the jacket and move back and forth in both directions, once around the tire.

Jo, often the tire bead does not want to slip into the rim horn at normal tire pressure. I honestly don’t know anyone who’s already mounted tires and doesn’t know this problem.

Help creates (in rising escalation):

  • Pumping at maximum pressure (the rim or the tire that decides lower!)
  • walk the tire with the hand somewhat laterally to pull on the tire flank so that the tire bead hangs less tight in the rim bed. Can you pack it up, there’s nothing going on.
  • mix a bite of water with rinsing agent and place it in the ridge between the tire and the rim.

These are tires that can also be used as tubeless mounting without hose. For this, the tire bead must sit tightly than just “Don’t jump off the rim”. And that’s why he’s sliding badly into the rim horn during assembly.

There’s nothing more complicated. Exact the same system, just made a little more value. The problem can be encountered 1:1 as well as any other bike, in any other price class. Some combinations of tires and rims go well, others less well. You were lucky with your old bike.

But yes, you are right: high-quality sports equipment is not designed for people who want to deal with their correct operation as little as possible.

Take air out of the tire, squeeze tire flanks from both sides and along the entire tire. Pump tyres according to manufacturer’s specifications. Usually, the tire at the wheel rim plumps, see if not eiert now.

Look at the rim rather than the tire.
