Tips for getting 2 kittens used to each other?
Hello, we want to get two little kittens, both 12 weeks old, female.
One a Ragdoll Main Coon mix and one BKH.
They are from 2 different breeders.
Now my question is, how do I get the two used to each other and to their new home the easiest way?
Should I pick up one first and the other a few days later, or both on the same day and then explore the new home together?
I would be very happy if someone knows about this and can give me some tips
Best regards
I would think that bringing the two kittens together won't be a problem if they've already been well socialized by the breeder. And personally, I would bring the two little ones to their new home together as soon as possible, so they're not alone.
I've never had any problems introducing cats to each other. However, my cats have always come from breeders who placed great importance on ensuring that the kittens stay with their mother and siblings for as long as possible.
Naturally, the animals were always a bit unsure upon first meeting, which led to growling and occasional hissing. However, I always tried to distract them with a group game. I always found the cat fishing rod to be a perfect solution… because in no time, the cats would play together and forget their mutual insecurities. Joint treat exchanges also often provided a relaxing atmosphere…
My two cats met this way about 8 years ago… and today they are probably the funniest best friends in the cat world ^^'
You can always discuss the whole process with the breeder. They know their animals best and can provide you with advice and support to ensure the perfect match.
Ideally, pick up both on the same day. With the little ones, this is usually quite easy.
Es sind keine Züchter, die Mixe verkaufen
