Tips for beginner waitress?

I'm starting work as a waitress in debt collection soon, and I was wondering if you have any tips to help me get started. Especially regarding money management and how to get the most tips possible. 😀 I've served a few times, but I've never taken payments, and I'm a bit apprehensive about it.

So, do you have any tips on what I should pay particular attention to, common mistakes beginners make, or advice for me?

But I work with my father in gardening and landscaping. He's self-employed, and I have an employment contract from the job center. So my question is: I'm afraid I'll have to take measures I don't want to take, as I'm 50% disabled.

Before practicing with real money to know how it feels, etc.

Counterfeit 5-20€ are more often on the go and as these are going over the counter in normal payment transactions rather quickly you can quickly accept a wrong one.
