Pay for veterinary care?

Hello

I have to take my cat to the vet tomorrow because she's obviously limping and you can see she's in pain. Now I'm wondering what it will be like after the treatment. The vet will examine her, prescribe treatment, and explain a few things, and then? Will it be like at the supermarket? Will he say something like, "That'll be €200, please," and then I'll open my wallet and pay? When I had my cat and tomcat neutered five years ago, I had to pay in cash, or rather, I received an invoice by mail beforehand, and when I picked them up, I had to pay. Now the situation is different. I don't think I have to leave them there? What do you think, or how is it for you (except for regular customers)?

This is normal as in a control investigation. You go, the cat is examined, you may be given medication etc. This is entered into the system, you will go to the reception and they will call you the amount. You can usually pay in cash or by card. On request you will receive the invoice for your documents.

Mostly you pay on site, some veterinarians also offer that you can transfer the money.

Yeah, usually it’s the way it goes.

If there are more expensive treatments, you should also consider yourself and ask for the costs beforehand!

He’s got it in every patient. Of course, he’s got a cash register for money. And he’ll have to show you a document if you want one.

This always depends on how the respective practice handles. With us, the local veterinary clinic is paid directly at/after treatment (bar, card, immediate transfer), my veterinarian for smaller things but simply always sends an invoice.

You pay the amount normally at the reception. You have a checkout there if you want to pay bar or just a reader if you want to pay with card. No matter how ruthless the amount is they can give it to you in practice, they have money on site.

I only know veterinarian practices where you have to pay immediately or when picking up the animal. The invoice is no longer sent, but handed over when paying.

You can pay cash and usually also with card.

I always wonder how high the costs will be about.

Yes, they have a cash register for the rest.
The same cash in which the paid cash amounts also come in.
