Thyroid T3 Triiodothyronine?

Hello,

my T3 triiodothyronine level is too high (4.14).

Is this bad, what influences it and how can I reduce it?

Do I have an underactive or overactive thyroid?

An increased T3 value indicates a thyroid hyperthyroidism which can be caused by diseases such as Morbus Basedow (=autoimmune disease), drugs, genetics or thyroid inflammation.

This can lead to symptoms such as weight loss, nervousness, palpitations, sweating, sleep disorders and trembling.

In order to reduce the T3 value, drugs such as thyrostatic drugs or beta blockers are often used, in severe cases also radiojod therapy or surgical interventions. By natural means, you cannot lower the T3 value.

It is important that you visit an endocrinologist to determine the exact cause and obtain a suitable treatment.
